MyWorkpapers raised £3.4m Series A to accelerate product growth

Equity Raise AdvisorySoftware2023-09

K3 Capital Advisory advised MyWorkpapers on a £3.4m Series A raise from Percipient Capital, structuring the investment to support platform development, sales team expansion and wider market growth. The round was positioned around demonstrable product traction and a clear path to increased recurring revenue.

MyWorkpapers provides cloud-based workpaper management software to accounting practices, replacing the manual and fragmented processes that still characterise much of the profession. By the point of fundraising, the business had established a base of practice clients and consistent recurring revenue — the right foundations to underpin a growth equity case.

K3 Capital Advisory developed the investment narrative, ran the process with a targeted group of growth equity investors and negotiated terms with Percipient Capital. The £3.4m Series A was structured to give the management team the capital to invest in product and sales without diluting founder control beyond the point that made commercial sense. The raise positioned MyWorkpapers for its next stage of growth without requiring the business to take on debt it could not service in the short term.
